President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday in Abuja said Nigerians must appreciate God for bringing everyone together.

The President stated this when he received the General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi, at the Presidential Villa.

He said: ”God did not make a mistake when he created over 250 different ethnic groups, and decided to put them in a place called Nigeria.

“We must appreciate God for bringing us together. He knows what he was doing. He didn’t make a mistake.”

While describing Nigeria as “a great country’’ endowed with human and natural resources, President said:

“We have challenges in trying to get people to understand us.

“With my experience as a governor, Minister of Petroleum, Head of State, Chairman of Petroleum Trust Fund, I thought I had seen it all, but Nigeria has a way of going at its own speed.

“My morale is raised by your visit. I very much appreciate it.’’

President Buhari recalled what he described as Pastor Kumuyi’s “intellectual achievements’’ as a scholar and university lecturer before going into full time ministry.

He added that he was “excited a great deal’’ for the General Superintendent’s acceptance of government’s invitation to preach the sermon at the country’s 58th independence anniversary.

“Thank you very much,’’ the President said.

In his remarks, Pastor Kumuyi, who leads one of the country’s largest Pentecostal churches, said it was an honour to be received by the President on a busy day as Oct. 1.

He expressed appreciation to the President for his tireless efforts toward transforming the country.

He said: ”Please remain focused and courageous and do what is right.

”Not everyone will support you publicly, but we are praying for you so that your tenure will be one of progress and prosperity for the country.’’

The General Superintendent was accompanied by his wife, Esther, and Pastor Samuel Afuwape.

Others on his entourage included Pastor Chike Onwuasoanya and Pastor Seyin Malomo, the Chaplain of Aso Villa Chapel.

Buhari has nothing meaningful to say, let him first of all call his demonic brothers to order, they are busy running rampage all over plateau to the extent that they are about turning it to a burial ground. Buhari the good man with bad intentions

They always know how to use christains. They are looking at DLC & RCCGs votes, since they have lost LFC and others...

I trust Pastor Kumuyi with his holiness sermon.

N/B: Kumuyi can never endorse Buhari, APC, PDP or any political interests, neither does Deeper Life Bible Church approve of partisan politics... #Fact.

So Kumuyi will simply use the medium to preach the gospel of Holiness while maintaining that citizens pray for their leaders (that's Biblical injunction). Partisan politics is our of Deeper Life dictionary.

You can't be too sure, DLC respect it's spiritual head, a word from Daddy K in support of PMB can sway some of it's members in favour of PMB... Note: this visit has breeded a bit of confidence in PMB.

So it is only rccg or winners or christ embassy that are loyal to pastors.
You better don't kid yourself, there is no difference between deeperlife and the other churches. Every major Pentecostal church in Nigeria adore their lead pastor. Don't come and form nonsense here...

I'm getting very irritated regarding the prideful behaviour and statements i have seen to be very consistent in many deeperlifers i have met. I have rarely met a deeperlifer who doesn't think his Church is the most superior and all that. I hope the church leadership addresses this, many of you are lost in deep pride. That is just my honest observation.

Also, no pastor's message is inferior to the other. Adeboye preaches Salvation, Oyedepo preaches Faith&Prosperity, Kumuyi preaches Holiness, Joseph Prince preaches Grace. God made it so because believers are different in their needs. A medical doctor may specialise in curing the blood, another curing the eyes. But both are important nonetheless..

As Paul said 'can the head say it has no need for the hands?'. Remove pride from your life it takes man nowhere.

the members don't even behave like their GS. They don't like relating with other Christians from other denominations while their pastor do. They're failing in the most important commandment of love.
