Lagos APC Primaries: Confusion as State Chairman disagrees with NWC, says votes valid
The chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, Mr. Tunde Balogun, says the party’s governorship primary held earlier on Tuesday (today) remains valid and that the result will soon be announced.
This is contrary to the statement by the party’s National Working Committee panel, led by Mr. Clement Ebri, declaring the primary null and void.
Ebri at a press conference at Protea Hotel, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, said the primary could not have held because the guidelines for the conduct of the election were still being ironed out.
But Balogun insisted that the primary had held and that the results would soon be announced.
Balogun said, “Of course, the primary election took place in all the 245 wards in Lagos State and it was peaceful; not a single case of violence was recorded. It was peaceful, it was fair, it was just and transparent.
“The election stands, because it was conducted according to the constitution of our party.”

I knew something like this would surface.

This is just the beginning of their plans for Tinubu after 2019. They want to cut his political influence to size.

And I think it will foolish for Tinubu to be glad about winning the primaries today. His battle has just started with the cabals ( presidency and sw Governors).

Let APC and PDP continue to postpone the Lagos primary election. I am enjoying the game of wits among the selfish politicians. But in all this I want to see if INEC will be so useless to shift the deadline for the submission of candidates for all elective posts which will end on October 7,2018.
Nigerians politicians and INEC are turning Nigeria to a night of thousand laughs!

There is no confusion anywhere. The primary was held today and a winner had emerged. Adams Oshiomole himself alluded to the successful primary election in Lagos when he addressed press men after a meeting with President Buhari.
