The APC Oyo North Senatorial District primaries held at Trans Motel Iseyin, Oyo State today 2nd, October 2018 was successful. The exercise was conducted by APC National Senatorial Primaries Committee (Oyo North) led by Barrister Ejiro Etaghene(Delta State), Dr Hassim Adda(Adamawa State) and Sarah Egye Amiyawa(Plateau State).

The lone aspirant, Senator Abdulfatai Omotayo Buhari Oyo North PhD representing the Senatorial district polled a total vote of 3599 of the total delegates of 3957. The Chairman of the primaries committee from the party National Secretariat, Barr. Ejiro Etaghene announced and declared the lawmaker winner of the exercise unopposed at 10:31pm amidst jubilations and cheers from the patience delegates, who have arrived the venue of the primaries election as early as 10am from the 13 LGs representing the senatorial district. The APC Senatorial Candidate, Senator Abdulfatai Buhari thereafter gave an acceptance speech, appreciating everyone presence for their support also promising to give back to his constituents more than he has always done.
