Students of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso have continued to be the victims of the irresponsible behavior of the two owner states; Osun and Oyo. Their only hope is not be diagnosed of heart attack someday. That is why the normal ladokite, wouldn't escape from the hands of high blood pressure.

Recall that the universities' tuition had earlier been increased from #65,500/#72,500 to #120,000/#150,000 for freshers of the set 2016/2017 who were merged with those of 2017/2018, this year. All indications seem that the increment is not sufficient to run the school properly, since the owner governments had instructed the school to take care of itself from its internally generated revenue.

Fortunately, the management had tried their best to recover for the lost time as she made sure that there were no significant hitches which could disrupt the academic activities of the school in the last 8months.

Probably for the first time in recent times, Lautech would finish an academic session in close to 8months. However, students are left to battle with the hope for a new session, as their school mails appear to be as dry as deserts with no notification of resumption.

However, the governing council led by Prof. Afolabi in conjunction with the school management has started plans to increase the tuition of students across all levels to #300,000. Should this be successful, an enormous disaster awaits the future of the Lautech community.

Now, the 300lvl and 400lvl students, who presently pay #62,000 would be required to pay #238,000 more while the 200lvl who had their tuition fee increased earlier this year to #120,000 would have to pay #180,000 more.

Distastefully, this is happening in a school which is greatly populated by citizens of Osun and Oyo states where the governors are owing the workers several backlog of salaries.

The only hope for the ladokite now is for the federal government to take over this property from the reckless owners in order to save the future of thousand students and staffs.

Again, if Lautech tuition is increased to #300,000, there is no doubt, the number of dropouts would exceed the number of the remaining students.
