Why are some politically naive Igbos desperate to draw Ndiigbo into a strictly Yoruba affair?

What's wrong with you guys? Are Igbos the only non Yorubas in Lagos? Why can't you guys just let Yorubas deal with themselves as they deem fit? Why are you guys so eager to always put Ndiigbo in the centre of every controversy?

Ebonyi state APC had primaries not long ago, if I ask OP the winner of that primary or the intrigues involved in that primary, he wouldn't know a zilch. But he's deeply interested in issues that is of no interest to Ndiigbo.

Where is your sense?

If you present Ndiigbo as friends of Ambode and enemies of Sanwolu, and then Sanwolu emerges governor and starts maltreating Ndiigbo through the usual subtle ways like closing down of markets under flimsy excuses of poor sanitation and even outright relocation of markets to more remote areas where the traders would have to start building the market from ground zero again, we would all converge here and start crying and complaining.

Where is the "Igbo sense", has it been watered down by too much admixture with other Nigerians? We use to have populace with "ako nu Uche", it would appear not same any longer.

A wise people would stay off Ambode-Sanwolu issue, knowing that they are all both Yorubas and that in their innermost of mindsets, they both habour a degree of resentment towards Ndiigbo. Why force them to manifest this resentment by openly showing your disapproval of them. Why support any of them when they are all same. When you could quietly face your businesses and then wait for winner to emerge. And when he does, you could then send delegates to congratulate and pledge your allegiance to him, as well as extract things from them, in exchange for your loyalty.

This is common sense 101, but it seem lost to Neighborhood.

Yorubas say they want Tinubu and his Godfatherism, why not let them be. You have your own issues to sort out back home.
There is the issue of Rochas and T. A Orji back home to tackle, why are you more interested in that occurring in another man's house. Isn't this madness? I don't see other Nigerian groups taking this Lagos and Tinubu issue more personal than Ndiigbo, they had all withdrawn into their shells and gone on to face their own domestic issues.

Credit to the great Pazienza.

They won't listen, i am ss but its so embarrassing, why can't the group organise their own governor as they own 97% of lagos.

The ambode himself has moved on and would even campaign for the winner but some persons are just seriously more bruised than ambode

Pazienza we need to hear more from you because these guys are bringing so much disgrace on us here.

I don't know what is wrong with these people.

The worst part is that we were threatened with death in the Lagos lagoon because of this same Ambode that our brothers now see as their man.

We are taking it serious because the FG left a lot of asset (3rd Mainland, Ports etc) in Lagos as the defunct capital of the country and Tinubu's Dynasty is looting it's proceeds. The debt is spiralling out of control and they don't care 'cos that will be repaid largely by businesses operating in the state which Igbo has a major stake. Have you seen us talk about Oyo or Kano? As far as Lagos and Abuja is concened, Igbo must talk.

Are we the only ones in Lagos?

Why are others not carrying this matter on their head like agbo the way we do?

Mumu post!

Y not ask afonja to stop supporting the useless Rochas Okoroawusa of Imo state as against the wishes of Imo indigenes?

What was Afonja's stake in Anambra when they were salivating and supporting the APC thug called Tony Nwoye as Anambra Governor? Are they from Anambra?

Mtcheeeeeeew!

How do you people take online banter as the true representation of the position of the Igbos .and even at that does it mean all the people supporting Ambode are igbo.
can you show any link where any igbo group or rep.have come to make statements or take positions concerning Lagos politics.
I don't know why you people can't see the politics yorubas are playing here, attach igbo to any politician they don't want and their people will fall in line.it happened with Agbaje and it worked and now they have done the same with Ambode.
Ever wondered why the Oba singled the igbos out in 2015 despite that they are not the only tribe in Lagos.

This makes no sense
Everyone has a right to be voted and vote for anyone they so prefer.
Only a clannish country like ours presents this kinda case.
Many Nigerians commented and were even against Trump during their last election & no one chastised you.
How many active Yoruba accounts on NL will claim never to have commented on non -Yoruba threads.
As most Igbos voted against Ambo (assumption), they lost/gained nothing likewise those who voted for him.
