Juliet and John started dating in 2017, we expect the wedding bells to ring before the end of 2018 but alas, the relationship have broken down and each have gone their different ways. John, a Civil Engineer works in an engineering firm that pays moderately, he also runs a bus service on his way to work in the mornings, back in the evenings and weekends. Juliet is a former contract worker in a bank but now an applicant. She has been depending on John financially since they met in 2017. The big issue between them is that her family members have also started asking John for money since April, 2018. He had to help them pay part of their rent in March and since then, it has been one financial demand or the other from John by Juliet and her family members. School fees, hospital bills, food, t-fare, emergencies etc. John said he had discussed this issue with Juliet several times but no solution. He said the unfortunate part of the story is that Juliet has a half elder brother who is working and living well but only gives the family a stipulated amount of money every month beyond which he won't even pick their calls until another month. But for John, he said its one demand or the other each week. He said he called off the relationship when the whole thing became unbearable for him after several discussions without any leeway. Dear nairalanders, is it normal for a single LADY to see her FIANCE as her only SOURCE of income? Is it wise for Juliet to have exposed her FIANCE to her family in such a way?

You should not even see your husband as source of income, let alone a fiance

Nothing wrong in occasionally assisting with her financial needs, but when she makes you her ATM machine, FLEE! Never hang your responsibilities on a man, especially in this Buhari era.
