I think this is just a dress rehearsal to make sure pdp does it's presidential primary before 7th.

Pdp is actually trying to push it to the end so that no looser defects but inec would shift date after pdp is done

INEC is APC and APC is INEC.

They lack credibility to conduct a free and fair election next year judging from the recent elections conducted in Ekiti and Osun states.

Inec have perfected plans to rig that idiotic uneducated nepotistic bigoted Fulani man back to power in 2019....a move that can truncate our nascent democracy if care is not taken.
your negative comments makes these people to behave irrationally. Nigeria will never for once appreciate people's work. Your nagging, complains, disturbances makes them go gaga. It's just a case of alleging someone a criminal when he has not commit any. F

For those canvasing for the constitution of pre or after independence should also canvas for our educational and population level as that time. Can't we move forward.and look back for reference purposes. Yes there maybe restructuring but should be based on progressing not going backwards. Just for example, how many universities do we have in 1960. How many university graduates as at then and now. What's our population then and now.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) yesterday reminded political parties of the October 7 deadline for the conduct of primaries for all elective positions for the 2019 general election and resolution of disputes emanating from the primaries.

The reminder is contained in a statement by Mr Solomon Soyebi, INEC National commissioner and chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee in Abuja yesterday. Soyebi stated that “the resolution was made at the end of the commission’s weekly meeting held yesterday in Abuja’’.He noted that the commission, among other things, considered the status of political party primaries to elect candidates into various positions for the 2019 general elections.

He said that 89 of the 91 registered political parties that gave notice of their intentions to conduct primaries as required by the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended) had commenced and were at various stages of the process.

He added: “INEC wishes to restate that the conduct of primaries and resolution of all disputes arising therefrom must be concluded on or before Oct. 7 as earlier published in the Timetable and Schedule of Activities for the 2019 general elections.

“The last day for submission of lists of sponsored candidates (Form CFOO2) and personal particulars (Form CF001) remains Oct. 18 for Presidential and National Assembly and Nov. 2 for Governorship and State Houses of Assembly”. Soyebi restated that the commission would only accept list of candidates submitted by the National Chairman and the National Secretary.
