Simple! What God has joined together, let no man put asunder

As long as your spouse is alive, you can't remarry.

This is a passage from today's gospel reading @ Mass, today.

An Accident happens, Gbam. Who is guilty? It's the one who hit first. Whoever puts the other asunder first commits "The Murder".

All that verse is saying is that remarriage is not allowed in the case of a divorce. It is not the divorce that is condemned by the remarriage after the divorce that is condemned in that particular verse.

A divorce on its own is not adultery. Rather, a divorce AND remarriage is adultery.
