The Kwara Central Senatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2019 General Elections, Dr Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe has expressed his unalloyed gratitude and appreciation to the APC party leaders, elders, faithful members and the good people of his constituency over his victory at the recently conducted Primary Elections of the party. 

Oloriegbe, a Medical Practitioner of note and a former Majority Leader of Kwara State House of Assembly, had the highest number of required majority votes to beat other aspirants in the keenly contested polls. 

But in his humble manner and an exemplary display of heart of affection, Oloriegbe extended his warm affection to all the contestants in the said election particularly Comrade Musibaudeen Esinrongujo who was magnanimous in conceeding defeat even before the formal announcement of results of the election. He thanked them for putting up good spirits of sportsmanship before, during and after the elections. 

Oloriegbe, who described his ambition as people driven and a desire to lead members of his constituency to their next level of socio-political and economic growth, said the journey was yet to be over. 

He therefore solicited for the supports of "all my colleagues in our quests to change the fortune of our people for better" during the election proper. 

"In life, we need to make a significant input ensuring that the future of our people is not jeopardized. It is not going to be a one man show, it has to be a collective effort. All our people should come together now to restore our values, heritage and rescue our future and those of all our children from the canals by ensuring true and sustainable development.

"I appreciate all my people, supporters and even those who support other aspirants. The future is brighter if we will all make today a reality. We can make it with Allah on our side."

The APC candidate appreciated the members of the National Working Committee of the party for their quintessential modalities leading to the successful conduct of the Primary Election just as he gave kudos to all the leaders of the party at the State, Local Government Areas (LGAs) and the wards level for their ingenuity at the organization and execution of the polls.
