Barring any change of plan, Alhaji Atiku Abubabar, presidential flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP may pick Senator Ben Obi, former Special Adviser to former President Goodluck Jonathan on Inter-Party Affairs, as his running mate.

Obi also served as a former National Secretary, Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP).

Its almost certain Atikus vice would be coming from the East. The man is too wise to fall for the trap being set for him by Lagos- Ibadan press who are trying to cajole him to settle for SW VP, knowing that decision would lead to a total boycott of the election by Easterners and sympathizers like myself, and will hence cost him the election.
