Samsung Mobile Taunted Apple for introducing the iPhones and Airpods without the 3.5 mm audio jack and basically made fun of Apple for taking a wrong step towards the drive of mobile technology.

As it turns out, Samsung will be aping and copying exactly what Apple has done come 2019. If reports coming from supply chains as reported by ET news are anything to go by, Samsung will be ditching the audio jack as early as 2019. Samsung is considering removing the mini jack from the Galaxy S11 and perhaps even the Note 10, replacing it with a single USB-C connector. 

It is coming as no surprise as Apple has continued to chart the roadmap of mobile technology for some time now. 

Apple is solely responsible for this swotch as almost every phone manufacturer — from Huawei to Google have dropped the minijack shoe, even Chinese brands like Oneplus seems to have followed Apple's lead after it demonstrated that most people don’t give a damn about the lack of a minijack, preferring to rely on wireless or proprietary earbuds.

Indeed, the raging success of the jack-less iPhone and the AirPods have prompted a race in the industry, with headphones looking like Apple's Airpods  coming from all top audio manufacturers in the world.

According to ET News, the ever increasing popularity of wireless headphone solutions is precisely one of the main reasons why Samsung may be dropping the jack.

It took Samsung some time after making fun of iPhones without audio jacks, but they too saw the light Apple had seen and made the right move.
