great to hear! next thing is usually eligibility and background check will be completed at a similar time or simultaneously and then PPR. you might get pre-arrival message, some do, some don't. but basically at this point, your job is done so just be patient and wait for PPR.

i think if you check your gckey, it will saywhat the eligibility thing is about. i think its about meeting the requirement to be sponsored. i think usually it's just a formality at this point, but if they have any issues or need another other document, they will let you know. otherwise just give it around 2-3 months for ppr

Honestly speaking i really don’t understand why we have to wait for so long before reuniting with our spouses. Indians and filipinos, What are you guys doing that we don’t do? I have seen countless three month files being processed. Sigh!!!!

There have been more fraud cases of spousal sponsorship applications from our region - which leads to more scrutiny.

Another factor is the delay in confirming/verifying the information submitted.

India has a better international reputation and is involved in International Trade with most countries globally (diplomatic relationships will be affected). On the other hand, Nigeria has little to no International impact. As such, IRCC cannot treat applications from both countries as the same even if both do the same shady stuff.
