Why Nigerians Will Not Vote For Atiku by BafanaBafana: 10:44am On Oct 13, 2018
The emergence of Atiku as the presidential flag bearer of the PDP has been greeted with an unusual euphoria. This, from my experience would have been the same if any of the other aspirants had emerged winner. We saw such jubilations during the defections. It is understandable though because the anti Buharist have been at the loosing end ever since 2014, from the general elections to the president's health and to other elections held across the country. It is therefore not unexpected for them to celebrate every little issue, not minding how irrelevant it might be.
Interesting to see is how they have been trying shop for selling points for their candidate. I saw something about Atiku being the largest job provider in the country. That's a very mischievous lie. He might fall somewhere around the bottom of the top one hundred employers of labour. Atiku has a lot of small businesses most of which are concentrated in Yola. Fruit juice/ sachet water company, radio/tv station, fast food joint (the most expensive in town), university to primary school, etc. And some other bigger establishments elsewhere. Most of these however are fronts used to clean his ill gotten wealth. If you are conversant with operations of drug lords, you will understand. As it is, Atiku is very wealthy. But his name hardly comes up when the wealthiest Nigerians are being mentioned. Just like the Babangidas and the Abdusalams. If you know, you know.
Atiku has no doubt done pretty well for himself as an entrepreneur. But when you want to give someone a job, you ask for his experience and achievements in that field. The man has held public office before in the capacity of the vice president of Nigeria. What was his achievements? That is a question Atiku wouldn't want to be asked because when he was VP, he oversaw the privatisation of NITEL and the Nigerian airways which put over 100 000 people out of jobs without entitlements. If not that Buhari came to power, they wouldn't have been paid off till date. Futhermore, we also have a referral letter from his boss and this is what his boss has to say about him.

"What I did not know, which came out glaringly later, was his parental background which was somewhat shadowy, his propensity to corruption, his tendency to disloyalty, his inability to say and stick to the truth all the time,a propensity for poor judgment, his belief and reliance on marabouts , his lack of transparency, his trust in money to buy his way out on all issues and his readiness to sacrifice morality, integrity, propriety truth and national interest for self and selfish interest"

That is Atiku in public service. He has not changed from what we saw in the pdp primaries where he bought his way.
Someone said he will support Atiku even if he was a direct descendant of lucifer. That's a very honest stance. It's more noble than trying to paint him as someone who he isn't. As true and unfortunate it is that a lot of Nigerians are fraudulent and see nothing wrong with criminality, there are lots of Nigerians who will never support anything evil due to their upbringing, hence can never support Atiku.

But Buhari is a saint and therefore we should vote him again? If Atiku can be looting and still providing the dividends of democracy, then I have no problem with that. Than a self acclaimed saint who has made Nigeria the poverty capital of the world with no basic knowledge of how the economy works.

He has the factories of truth and happiness. He has genuine love for and from his people. He is an example in patience, trustworthiness and frugality. These are factories of a successful ife that are not used as a front to launder ill-gotten proceeds. These are factories that Atiku cannot build, since the foundation is lacking.
