This is one of the most asked questions by students in schools. It's no surprise as everyone is aiming for a good result at the end of the semester. Here I will be giving you some simple but useful tips on how to increase your CGPA and get better results.
Always attend and participate during classes: I am sure you have been hearing this a lot and you have tried having 100percent attendance but it's not working for you then it only means you have been going about it the wrong way. Reasearch shows that attendance and attention in class plays a huge role in a student overall results. Even though you may not fully understand what the lecture is saying but you will have an idea which enables you to understand better when you start reading. No matter how reckless a lecture may be, he will feel challenged when you politely ask the right questions. If you can't get the answers that day, you can ask him again another day.
Be motivated and focus: find a motivated that is what keeps you going be it your ego, your parents or your friends and use it to build ur focus. Once a student is focused on learning and passing, nothing can stop or deter him.
Set goals: some of you may be motivated but have failed to set the right goals to enable that motivation become focus. Set goals that are easily attainable both long term or short term development goals, focus on it and watch your dreams become reality.
Befriend the right people: friends contribute a lot to our attitude to anything so why not find friends that will challenge you to become a better student. Not one that will drive you away from your desired goals in life. This is very important. Even if your friend is not the smartest person but at least let him be able to encourage you and keep you determined.
Have a time table: having a time table is just as important as going for lectures. A good time table enables you keep track of activities and time, it let's you know if you're progressing or not. Remember to create a time table to be able to suit all your needs including extra curricular activities too.
Use the library: it's no surprise that many students are ignorant of this. They believe that the library is for the bookworms alone and as a result fail to exploit this opportunity to know more. Most schools have at least a library in it's compound which is free to all students to enable them broaden their knowledge. You can find research books in the library, books that cover more on a particular topic and even borrow them for complete research.
Join a study group: students have equally forgotten the need for a study group. Members of a study group can challenge themselves, teach themselves so as to enable one cover the course outline for a semester quickly and understand better.
