Garba Shehu, who appeared on Channels TV last night on behalf of the Presidency, disclosed that the Federal Government is yet to release names of those affected by the travel ban empowered by the Executive Order 6.

Reacting to the list with former Ministers and Governors including a dead judge which went viral yesterday, the Presidency said the list being paraded is fake and that those who have been banned have had their cases running before the coming of the Buhari administration.

“We’ve seen a number of names being circulated. We have not issued any list. We are not going to issue any list because, again, if we did so, a lot of criticism will follow. Trials by media and all sorts of things.

“These cases are mostly known by most Nigerians. There are cases that have been in the public domain. Most of them were never really instituted by this administration. They go back seven to 10 years.” he said.

Garba Shehu who also spoke to Punch’s correspondent, told those criticizing the decision of the Federal Government to place about 50 Nigerians being investigated for corruption on travel ban, to go to court.

”Those who are opposed to this government’s position know what they can do. They should go to court. There is nobody under any illusion as far as the present administration’s anti-corruption war is concerned. Let it be known to all that this government will not abandon this ongoing fight against corruption because of such criticisms;; he said

No need going to court, Elections are just in 4 months time. The Jihadist Tyrant and his Decrees would be sent packing for a true Democrat who will end this reign of Impunity.

APC is doing exactly what PDP did for 16 years, which frustrated many Nigerians into seeking for change, PDP then will intentionally rig an election, steal money and ask anyone who is aggrieved to go to court in which the judges are under their control and the cases will go on with several adjournments for many years.

Sometimes, election cases end six months to the next election when the illegal occupant has enjoyed all the pecks of office and has stolen enough money to run at the next poll while the real winner has expended himself dry and the allowances of the three and half years lost will not be paid to him if he is a Senator or Honourable member.

Asking 'Aggrieved' people of (arbitrary travel ban without court warrant ) to go to court is like PDP (Buhari) is back in Aso Rock while APC (Atiku) is campaigning for change, a reversal of roles.

Did d Presidency go to d courts to get approval before placing ppl on a travel ban? Ordinarily d likes of EFCC already had d powers to apply to d courts for a travel ban on anyone it is prosecuting and d court confiscates d travel documents of d said individual.. Why den is d Presidency issuing a decree to d same effect? Soon U'll place individuals on compulsory house arrest
