The National Food and Nutrition Security Commission in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Forestry, the Environment & Sustainable Development, The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, and the World Food Day Committee, cordially invite all organization(s) to this 2018's World Food Day event, that is duly noted under the theme “OUR ACTIONS ARE OUR FUTURE. A #ZERO HUNGER WORLD BY 2030 IS POSSIBLE”.

World Food Day is celebrated annually on every October 16th by 150 independent states across the world in support of the FAO’s mission to use the event to stir awareness and to gather greater backings and acknowledgement to the approaches that can help to put a final end on world hunger.

In Belize, this year’s annual World Food Day event will be held on Friday October 19th, 2018 at the Julian Cho High School, Toledo District, with the
opening ceremony commencing at 9:00 a.m .

The World Food Day Programme of activities features ethnic food dishes from Belize, displays of variety types of locally processed foods and meats, cultural presentations, commercial and agricultural displays and other activities promoting food and nutrition security, so as to help spread knowledge as per the motives and appreciation for the various assists of agriculture to the Belizean culture.

The organization urge every human to be in oneness in this year's celebration all over the world, through out her nooks and crannies. The points being to emphasise the necessity of the continuity of food production for all and sundry for the sustainability of human race irrespective of race of whatever form.
