The students of the Ladoke Akintola university of Technology (LAUTECH) led by its SUG president, Abiodun Oluwaseun LAUREL took to the street of Ogbomoso to share their grievances of the increment of tuition fee to N200,000 for indigenes of Oyo state and Osun State and N250,000 for non- indigenes .

The Students locked all entrances to the school premises and barricaded the Ogbomoso to ilorin road.

The SUG president, LAUREL, described the school management as "Oppressors calling for war of its students"

The School management, yesterday, sent a memo stating the increment of the tuition fees and resumption date of the 2018/2019 session.

Don't have issue with the increment but it should be a reasonable amount. We all have a fair idea about our government attitude towards education. Maybe the two states should hand over the school to Federal government.

The governors are aware of what goes in that institution. The school management are also aware that students will react to the increment. That are just working on their intelligence to see how things unfold

Finding it difficult to fund the federal universities or their unwillingness to do so bearing in mind the amount of money they budgeted for other sectors. Let them continue with the protest, at least the management will be aware of their displeasure over the increment.
