Children of the late Afro-beat legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti on Monday, October 15, 2018, celebrated their father’s 80th posthumous birthday.

First son, Femi Kuti and his siblings celebrated Fela’s birthday during the Felabration week which kicked off on Monday (yesterday).

Femi Kuti and his siblings took to their various handles to pen down heartwarming messages to their father.

Femi Kuti wrote; “Happy Birthday to our father the greatest, he would have been 80 today. He can never be forgotten. We love you.”

MUSIC MEETS ART AS SNA JOINS MUSON IN CELEBRATING 22ND MUSIC FESTIVAL

This special event will be held as part of activities and events to celebrate 22nd Musical Festival. The event is organised to celebrate the unique interrelations between art and music.

The SNA is partnering with MUSON on its 22nd annual music festival, to celebrate the ties between music and art while increasing the visibility and appreciation of both means of creative expression.

LISTEN TO FELA’S MUSIC FOR SOLUTIONS TO NIGERIA’S PROBLEMS, FALANA ADVISES ASPIRANTS
Activist Lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana has called on Nigerian Presidential candidates to listen to the music of late Fela Anikulapo Kuti to get solutions for the nation’s problems.

Falana gave this advice on Monday, October 15 during the 2018 Felabration debate, titled “African Leadership in Millennium” in Lagos.

According to him, the late Fela had foreseen Nigeria’s problem and he gave warnings and proffered solutions to such problems in his music.
