A newborn baby has been found dead in a well in Northern part of Nigeria. The baby was found floating by someone who had gone to the well to fetch water.


He raised an alarm immediately he found the baby, and the baby was brought out dead.
Residents have now started making investigations to see if the mother of the child can be traced. Too sad!

That wasn't what happened, the initial story was that the mother of the child went to take her bath and left the new baby sleeping in the room. On getting back, the baby was no where to be found and she raised an alarm, neighbours helped in searching for the baby but all effort proved futile. It's on the third day after the disappearance that the baby was discovered in a well by a man who went to fetch water.
