Even if it was so that Awolowo took rat poison to avoid arrest, is it not better? He died alone and left a lot of fortune for his people, but in the case of Ojukwu, instead of him to die alone, he ran away why millions of his people died. Ojukwu did not lost, he was pardoned and even paid after many years.
