as i read through the seveal posts asking to meet girls and 'be my val' , i thought why doesn't someon do something about it. Okay, now correct me if someone has already thought this up, but here''s my idea. I am based in London, UK. How about all nairaland members that are based in the UK email me directly. We can have a message system, where you can suggest fun places to visist or things to do in London, say twice a month, all nairaland London members meet up, have fun, socialise, catch up and perhaps find a date. Come on - we can be creative about it. How about this - the organiser for the event looks around London (online or whatever) for any events they think will be of interest to us and gives us the details by sending an email to those who wish to come saying something like: " Disco/Jazz/Whatever event taking place at such and such place/club/pu at such and such time on such and such date. We meet up, boook a group table and have a laugh. We can decide to buy our own drinks and pay something like £5 into a 'pot' when we meet up As time goes on and we feel more comfortable, one of us may decide to host us at their home - we turn up with a small contribution for the host or bring a bottle and party food.
