Ekweremadu cannot decamp now, he can only do that after returning back to the Senate under the PDP platform except he doesn't want to go back to the Senate. In the light of Obi being picked for VP, it thus means he can neither be SP or DSP in the 9th National Assembly if PDP were to win and if the SE gets zoned the presidency after Atiku's term, Obi will be better placed to grab the ticket.

But if APC wins, he might not have a Saraki to help him be DSP hence he might need to cross carpet in order to retain a prominent position in the Senate and in APC he stands a chance come 2023 to run for president if APC zones to the SE though that would be almost impossible as long Tinubu remains party leader.

But the truth is that it won't hurt him to be an ordinary senator. He is a huge proponent of restructuring and I'll like him to put some energy into that and then maybe come become Governor in 2023. With restructuring the Governors will almost be as powerful as the President.

Let him decamp na...., so he will learn by his own experience.
