CDQ Biography: Early Life, Family and Education

Sodiq Abubakar Yusuf who goes by stage name CDQ is originally from Illorin, Kwara state but was born in Orile,
Lagos State. He was taken back to Kwara state at a very young age and had his basic education in the state, stopping
after he completed his secondary school education. He moved back to Lagos and went on to further his education at the Lagos State University (UNILAG), graduating with a B.Sc in Economics.

CDQ Biography: Music Career/The Beginning

On rounding up his basic schooling and University education, Sodiq Abubakar Yusuf known among fans and many alike as CDQ turned to music and began performing as an upcoming artiste in concerts and shows. He was already in the music industry as far back as 2008 and was a back-up singer for the late music legend Da Grin. He later switched to English when he started rapping under M. I abaga who was the real deal as at then (this is the main reason he mixes his rap with both Yoruba and English). His big break came after he won the rap battle at the popular Industry night Show in Dec, 2012 at the Oriental Hotel, in Lagos.
