Poem: I have Prayed for you By Soibi Ransom

The fangs of setbacks
The arrows of denial
The sequence of injustice
Heartbreak unending

Don’t loose heart
Don’t feel sad
Don’t take a detour
There is no loosing out

A day of remembrance awaits you
The years of diligence
The nights of toil
Your sacrifices

Your will for uprightness
No iota of compromise
Even with a knife in your sore
And a bed circled with flames
Even with an enemy with weapons of war

Look I have watched over you
I am and will always
Everything mapped out
For good and not for evil
With intents of goodwill

Your are my benevolence
My heart is still on you
Your feet shall not falter
Your legs shall not stagger
Your hands will not tremble
No weapon shall prevail against you

Righteousness is not vanity
Neither is integrity a waste
I have intercepted the flying darts
Yes I have prayed for you
And your faith will not fail.
