Osinbajo is a toothless vice, let the main man talk. Is Buhari too an advocate of restructuring? Osinbajo personal opinion doesn't count, only that of Buhari who heads the government he deputies in matters.

This Buhari Administration wouldn't have hesitated to make this open in 2015 if this were true... So I'm skeptical about these figures

This is fact. The debt office confirms the info. Compared to PDP years when borrowing was for wastage the PMB borrowing have been strictly for infrastructure.

Looking at GEJ alone, he was busy borrowing to pay salaries with even during the time oil sold for record highs in his tenure.

which one is a lie among what he said? That obj withheld Lagos money, that the nation generated $381billon (which is the highest so far) . That same Atiku was part of govt from 1999 to 2007 and never talked about restructuring.
Guy , a simple google search will help u confirm all these

His personal opinion counts because even in this pmb administration they have visited the issue of restructuring which is the reason why diversification is key in this administration.

One cannot restructure and then put so many states at a disadvantage due to inadequate Revenue sources.

Before anyone can visit the issue of restructuring each state should be able to survive when more power is passed to them.

Any one talking about an immediate restructuring is just selling a scam that can never be a reality today

Old news from the funny looking one. He wants to be President thinking Buhari will slump but he is even worst. See am

It is now an old news now because he has chosen to address the falsehood of pdp that they left N12 trillion and that Buhari has borrowed another N12 trillion.

Led peter obi and his pdp should tell Nigerians how much debt they left in dollars.

When a pastor serve in the government and become a liar or defender of false representations, does it mean he has suspended His relationship with God and will return to it when he is done?

I've heard this guy preach his political messages, I've heard him spawn data to suit him, one thing for sure he is very intelligent. unfortunately, he's using is intellect to deceive the gullible.

But PDP too messed up. With those figure up there we could have built 5 Dangote sized refineries and be refining every drop of crude in Africa today.
That could have created millions of high paying jobs.

Lol. Imagine this nonsense you wrote here? How can they service a debt which wasnt used for any reasonable projects aside looting? They met a nation in the state of comatose with virtually nothing on ground except Boko Haram and Dasukigate. By the way, do you service a debt when you are earning less than you were earning when you took the debt? Which kain financial training did you get growing up bro? Or is it just hatred for the government that blinded your reasoning?

So the national bureau of statistics NBS , a parastatal under the government lied about data they released on debt ?

By the way osinbajo is just being clever by half by adding states debt during PDP

The screenshot below was as at September 2017, if you add borrowing of 2018 you will get over 50%

I dont believe this administration borrowed only $10b (3.6 trillion naira)

The VP is being disingenuous by using the dollar to report our debt. Most of the government's borrowing has been in Naira, so as the Naira lost value, it makes the debt value in dollar appear smaller.

A debt of N155bn in 2014 equates to $1bn then and around $500m today (using the official exchange rate). So even if you double the debt by borrowing another N155bn making it N310bn, the dollar value of the debt is still circa $1bn at the official exchange rate, even lower if you use the market exchange rate.

Are they to service it with your ni*a*she*,when u knew exactly that 28 States were owing about 3-16 months salary arrears, contractors down tools with about 400billion naira owed them across the nation as at June 2015! How do u safe in such callous conditions?
Most of the cases about looted funds are in court and until all is cleared by both the court and the Senate before the money can be spent.

Buhari’s Certificate Saga: It’s an insult to the Armed forces – Gen Alani Akinrinade

 Nwafor Polycarp

By Nwafor Sunday

The former Chief of staff, Lt. General Ipoola Alani Akinrinade, Sunday, slammed those criticizing President Muhammadu Buhari over his statement that his West African School Certificate Examination certificate, WACE, was with the Nigerian Army.

Angered at the spate at which Nigerians lambast Buhari over his certificate, Akinrinade blamed the Nigeria’s recording system. His words, “How many years ago ?… 50 years. And Nigeria with our (poor) record keeping and filing things into an archive. If we have an archive at all;  an archive inhabited by rats and cockroaches. I think it’s an insult”.

However, clearing the air he said that the certificate saga was an insult to the Nigerian Army, noting that the time Buhari joined the Armed forces ‘there were no cutting corners’.

Read the full statement below:

“… The most annoying one is the case about (Muhammadu) Buhari not having a Certificate.

It is an insult to the Armed Forces, a terrible insult to the Armed Forces.

If they are so embedded in the system and they have lost their souls, then they can go ahead and join everybody else in castigating a General of Buhari’s calibre.

Buhari:  Beyond the noise of WAEC Certificate

They are now talking about a School Certificate.

By the time he joined the Army in those days, there were no cutting corners.

It is later when these same Civilians took over from the Army that admission into it became less transparent.

I can give you an instance.

There was Course Five around 1964: if one did not have a School Certificate, one couldn’t apply to join the Army.

And I know up to 1963 when the last General Officer Commanding left Nigeria, there were no corners to be cut.

There was no such thing. Everything was on merit.

Army repairs dilapidated Abia school, procure sports equipment

And that was how it was till Buhari’s time.

Buhari attended the Mons (Officer Cadet School in Aldershot in England) and the Staff College.

I don’t want to think they have an idea what they teach in those places.

And the rest of us pretend as if we don’t know what they do there.

You send a man to America for one and a half years in a Military School.

Do they think he just went there to learn how to fire a rifle ?

No.

As I speak to you, I don’t know where my original Certificate is because we gave the original to the Military Board.

They took it from us when we applied to join the Army.

You give the original copy of credentials to the Board.

They take it and keep it in your file, that’s what happened.

How many years ago ?… 50 years.

And Nigeria with our (poor) record keeping and filing things into an archive. If we have an archive at all; an archive inhabited by rats and cockroaches. I think it’s an insult.

I take it as a personal insult”

– Gen Alani Akinrinade.
