Nigeria under the dullard too mumu. See them justifying the killing of its citizens by snapping pictures of catapults, a locally made gun and one fat soldier allegedly stoned.

Under the dullard Nigerians don't have a right to protest, as live rounds are sprayed for fun on citizens. NLC should just be careful today, as the Lifeless might just be sending his boys scout on another round of mass murder.

Hmmmmmm, someone said these Shiites are extremist if you know what I mean. It would have been nice if it was police that deals with them though cos police is for civil matters, and they can use tear gas or rubber bullet. Army on the other hand don't have such, what army have is live bullet and that's their only weapon. If you attack the army, you are bound to be treated as a criminal. Having said that, killing citizens for any reason is not really good. It's a crime, I would love to hear from Abuja residents if they support the military it shitts. Like for shittes, share for military

Is military action not fuelling their extremism? If Buhari can find it easy to negotiate with Boko Haram, i think these shiites can be talked too. Boko haram has shown more extremism than shiites

Catapult vs AK47
Very nice statement, until they drill a hole in your head with that catapult then you will understand. These guys have been coming out armed from day one with intent to cause injury or death. The armed forces should pet them? Try this in America, you will surely be shot in the most gruesome manner. We should not tolerate the lives of un protesting citizens be put in danger. Imagine what these people would do to the ordinary INNOCENT man if there were no law enforcement agencies. After all, David killed Goliath with a catapult!

Shiites for all I know about them are generally prone to violence world over. Whereas I do not support killing of civilians in whatever form, especially by apparatus of state saddled with the responsibility of protecting life and property of the citizenry. But the desire to undermine government and any constituted Authority seems to be the hallmark of this religious sect, with Iraq having their fair taste of the unwholesome activities of this religious zealots even till now, while Iran who were not so lucky fell to the revolutionary power of Ayatollah Khomeini a shia fundamentalist who became the supreme leader of the country and changed it to an Islamic republic. The point is the military should not over step their boundary or preempt an unfavorable measure by which to curtail the activities of this sect at all cost since many of their follower are gullible, they should however stand their ground and in similar instances like this where their parade is based on some sort of religious or historical convictions, their Leaders should be engaged in a sincere talk, while mapping out routes for them where they are expected to conduct their activities and probably get them to sign an undertaking to that effect. This will definitely discourage confrontations that may lead to a repeat of the scenario been witnessed right now, which of course may be the direct result of the steady growth in the number of their adherents which is capable of not only embolden them but also make their activities more pronounced each passing year.

I think Buhari's administration strongly opposes protest!

Nothing can justify their killings! There are better ways of dispersing crowds who by the way have the right to protest!

Whereas I don't fancy this government, it would be mischievous for me to condemn the actions of the Nigerian military after watching the clips of their encounters for the two days running. These guys are out asking to be killed. I really do not understand why they must take over the roads and obstruct people's movement, forcefully.

Then when the army confronts them they are quick to throw dangerous objects at them. Do they expect the army to throw stone at them? This was even at a very close range. Those army guys were just some foot away and firing into the air and those guys threw something at them injuring one who scampered for safety.

I repeat again, there's no peace in sight with the way the Government is handling this Zakzaky issue. They should just release the man and warn him never to go back to his old ways

And gradually, these Shiite will turn to another terror group. It's better the Army begins to instill the fear of God in these people before its too late.

Kill 16 instead of 4

What do you think will happen if this man is released? He will just go home and sin no more? You probably do not live in Zaria to witness the chaos this group causes.

Very violent set of people, but people just want to blame buhari and Buratai's men. I could remember soldiers killing his children and wife during GEJ's tenure which shows they've been violent for long but people decided to escalate every cuz buhari must go... Lol

You sound like an illiterate. Tear gas, rubber bullets, pepper sprays, batons, whips, water cannons, tasers and dogs are all used for riot control, no where in the world are live bullets used except in Buhari's Nigeria. If you support these killings, then you might just be a prospective terrorist.

You have a point there BUT you don't have the fine details.
Truth is the video and the statement issued by the State isn't enough to reach a conclusion.
There were no rioters in the video.
The army "said" it was escorting a shipment of bullets and missiles to the North East before its convoy was stopped and attacked with stones, rocks, catapult, etc. Other motorists were also caught in the melee. I don't trust the photos of the locally made guns and catapult being posted to support the whole thing.
The rioters (as you called them) were clearly seen in the video attacking the soldiers (who operate under different rules of engagement from Police), and they started with warning shots in the air. Then the rioters (as you called them) got more frenzied and increase the attack.
I understand Hausa being spoken by the dude recording the onslaught, and he said "a soldier has been caught by two people and they are currently dealing with him mercilessly"

Should the soldiers shoot to kill? NO!
They were to first wait for reinforcements and then repel the onslaught by lethal means if necessary.

I want to believe they satisfied these two conditions under the rules of engagement.

PS: Don't call people online illiterates. Its Cyber Bullying. A form of terrorism. You ended your comment with labeling prospective terrorist on someone, and you are guilty of the same charge

So practicing your faith means you form road blocks, beat up passers-by, extort them and constitute public nuisance? It islike you have never encountered these Shia muslims before. They are an extremist group and should be treated as terrorists.

I will not insult you but lemme explain, these people (Shiites) were attacking vehicles, breaking screens, were not allowing movement, it was a lock down, I wish I can send you videos, I can't go to work today due to swollen legs, I am heavily pregnant and I had to run for my life and that of my unborn child. Now who's talking like an illiterate? That's why I said if you were not there don't speak. Riot ko, riot ni, those military men were not even much, and they didn't respond to those Shiites on time, a military barracks is close to the scene but they didn't leave the barracks until the Shiites started attacking vehicles.

Thank you for the insight Ma'am. Do not mind these agents of division, whose only stock in trade is their deceptive manipulation of people.

Democracy or not, no responsible government allows herself to be overun by any type of movement, especially where such movement is characterized by public disturbance, infringement on the liberty of others and malicious destruction of properties.

Why would you even limit your thinking ability so low like this! Have you ever heard if from anywhere that this sect carried out a procession in Abuja before? No. So, why are they doing it now! El rufai has banished them from their originating homeland and now they are looking for a safe abode where international observers will able to pity their plight. It is apparent that the majority of Nigerians don't know what this sect is all about. Take your time and search for it on the internet and see the horrible practices in which they indulge in. It is so pathetic that people judge quickly without even having the foreknowledge of what has happened. Let us just pray to God to help us out from all evil doers that doesn't want Nigeria to progres

No government should fire live rounds on its citizens who protest without a gun.
Nigeria will never copy other countries when it comes to good things.
I'm sure nobody will stand when hot water canon is sprayed.
Anti riot police or soldiers in develop countries dont carry guns.
They protect them self fully and arm their selves with Barton, shield ,pepper pray, teaser and shield.
This shows the government doesn't give a Bleep about the lives of Nigerian .
When this same soldiers see BH with guns they run only to come out at people without guns asssssholes .
