You're probably older than me, but I'm so happy to be born in that 'bridge' generation known as the 80s... To witness phenomena like Michael Jackson, Mandela, Larry King, Oprah, Mike Tyson, Mike Jordan, Diana, John Paul II, etc..at their prime, in flesh in the present tense. I even regret missing the 70s, but at least I smelt it and actively relived it.

These Shaku Shaku children of nowadays don't know what they missed. That's why they run their mouths anyhow.

The mid-70s to mid-1990s will eventually stand out as an exceptional period in popular culture. After this period, with Windows 95, internet/computer age took off proper. A very different era began.

But that 20 years period prior saw so much high quality music & culture. That era after Rock n Roll. Many artists reached their peak: Diana Ross, Tina Turner, MJ, Lionel Richie, Kool & The Gang, Marvin Gaye. Fresh ones like Whitney Houston, MC Hammer, Bobby Brown, etc, broke through.

Then came the rappers from mid 1980s: Run DMC, Wu-Tang Clan, Public Enemy. Culminating in Dr Dre, 2Pac, Biggie, Snoop etc in mid-1990s.
