The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole, has announced the decision of the party to conduct fresh congresses in Rivers State.


He said this at an ongoing press briefing in Abuja, on Friday.

According to him, the Supreme Court judgement in the case of Rivers State was clear that the congresses conducted by the Chief John Odigie-Oyegun-led National Working Committee was a nullity because they were conducted in defiance of a subsisting court order restraining them from doing so.

Oshiomhole said, “Democracy is a celebration of the rule of law, not the rule of might.”

I mean it won't affect the primaries already conducted because it was conducted by the NWC and not the local chapter.

It is the NWC that conducted the primary not SWC. Delegates were chosen from members of the party.

If this news is true then it's a good one. If the congress is held 100 times and Amaechi wants Ojukaye back he'll still win 100 times.

Magnus Abe allowed himself to be used even when Amaechi decided to cede senatorial ticket to him he still said it's governor or the APC house will fall.
