Come to amuwo odofin alone, you will see hundreds of mansions under construction or recently completed. 80% of them even use dulux paint because it is premium, one bucket of dulux paint go for 33,000. The economy is favouring people seriously 1 Like |

Mankosi: Nope, the paints there days are low quality stuff, they wear off easily and you have to repaint your house twice a year against once a year as previously pre-planned cos of bad quality. Higher consumption means more purchases, and does not necessarily translate to more constructions as latest building designs use claddings and stones designs. The economy is not better under this administration so stop playing politics with everything but reason deeply so people will not think you are stupid, cos you are not. |

Brightdude007:Forget the cost, the value you get at the end is what matters and the sole reason people rush after the brand. Dulux is a premium quality and durable paints. It last long both for exterior and interior walls 1 Like |

gentlegenius:you make it sound so easy, but the truth is in Nigeria, farmers are at the bottom Chain of cash flow. Dont go into agriculture in Nigeria until you are able to eliminate the middle men .This is where proper storage ,processing and transport comes in ,if not you will be at the mercy of the middle men who will buy your farm produce at a cheap price and resell higher . The only reason why the kenyan man seems to making it big is because he produces and exports by himself ,but here in Nigeria ,getting the necessary documents for exportation is nearly impossible if you dont have the connections ,so farmers would rather sell at the farm gate and take whatever they can ,which is why farming is difficult in Nigeria 2 Likes 1 Share |

That's my field and I can stand to disagree with this report. As a matter of fact, painting industry has been experiencing low patronage since the inception of this administration, maybe you can explain to me how someone who lost his or job, whose salary can no longer sustain due to inflation or someone who is experiencing low patronage in his or her business will make painting of house or building of a house his or her priority. U can contact me on this number (07035174655) for supply of my product VINACLUX PAINT. |

frenzyduchess:Facing difficulties in exporting your farm products should not be an excuse for not investing in agriculture. Export is for products that are abundant in Nigeria. If you own a rice farm for instance, you don't need to export your rice to other countries before you make money because rice is one of the products that Nigeria spend so much to buy from other countries. Same applies to poultry, fish, Palm oil etc. Farming is business, A smart farmers studies his area to know what is lacking, what is productive and what is profitable. Again, a smart farmers takes his time to learn marketing strategies that will enable him make profits from selling his goods. One of the strategies is to add VALUE to your goods before selling it. Things are only difficult to those who don't learn. The more you learn about something, the easier it becomes. Even the export that you claimed to be very difficult in Nigeria might not be difficult to those who learn how to go about it. But the truth is that there many people who became rich through farming without exporting any of their products. All they do is to learn the strategic ways of marketing their products locally. The middle men you are talking about are only exploiting those illiterate, village, crop farmers who don't want to learn anything marketing their crops. 2 Likes |

lonelydora: Cost is subjective. Would you buy a paint for 18k per drum and repaint every year or one for 27k per drum which gives you 5 years durability? 1 Like |
