Prince, the link is working.Harsh as it might sound, I think there is a learned & now almost instinctive helplessness & irresponsibility among many of our young people. They can't carry out simple tasks or respond to simple instructions confidently or with some thought. Job vacancies with clear JD will get responses from people who clearly don't meet the criteria. Those who meet it can't be bothered enough to go the extra step of tailoring their CV/Cover letter to the specific vacancy. You could do a thread littered with answers here &you'd still get a DM asking for answers

Yesterday,my friend sent a young intern to deliver something to my office. Even with the number of my office-on a very popular and easy to access road-well displayed, the young man inundated me with calls asking for directions. It is as if anything that tasks the mind/brain is an unnecessary and avoidable burden. Some of it is rooted in lack of confidence. Some in very low self esteem that has led to crippling self doubt. Some of it is outright irresponsibility & sense of entitlement. Whatever it is,it is not a good place to be. The least you can do for yourself as a young person is to very curious & refuse to accept that you need help for every task. Resist the temptation to ask for help for simple tasks & challenge yourself to do the best you can. It is a very important mindset to adopt.

Read vacancies well.
Don't send a generic version for every vacancy.
Read widely.
Develop research skills. It isn't that hard to access information anymore.
Use technology & tools to carry out your tasks.
