The Ondo State Government, in collaboration with Oshodi Art Gallery, has unveiled plans to host 2018 ARTFEST.
At a media launch on Thursday, 8th November, 2018, the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Alhaji Ismaila Ayodeji Olurimisi, thanked Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, for approving the maiden edition of the Festival.

The ARTFEST is aimed at generating a financial forecast of over hundred million. The programme is will also create awareness and promotion of works of Arts, Culture and Tourism potentials of the State.

The Chief Executive Officer of Oshodi Art Gallery, Mr Oshodi Seyi Paul, explained that the one week 2018 ONDOFEST programme is proudly festival of arts, music, drama and cultural celebration in the state, our heritage and diversity, with active cultural troops participation from the 18 local government areas of the state.

The Festival will also feature: Agro Tourism, Mountain Racing, Food and Drinks Festival, Open Air Film Show, Fashion Show, Book and Literature, Choreography, Award Night, Face Painting, Tourist Site Seeing and Afro -Modern Fashion Carnival.

Governor Akeredolu expressed optimism that the programme was well packaged. The Governor said a date should be set aside as "Cultural Day" to create awareness.
