the sinful nature has been destroyed in a Christian, Salvation means the sin nature has been destroyed or incapacitated.

the answer is that
1. Christians are living in a sinful world but the hope of a Christian is to the new heaven and new earth where righteousness dwell.

2 Peter 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.



2.because some Christians lack knowledge of whom they really are.

3. The devil works tirelessly to influence the believers mind through different means.

of course the devil thinks he can devour the Christians but he does not know the victory for the Christian has already been determined on the cross.

how can a Christian overcome

1. walk in the spirit- this is living in the reality of what Christ has done on the cross, knowing he is no longer a slave of sin and living out the righteousness of Christ.

Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Galatians 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.


2. put on the whole armour of God
