The NLC and the Minister for Labour needs to take this Woman and her compnay to court and the workers need to come together and institute a class action against the compnay! Lijuan: First, this woman must be made to understand that she is in Nigeria, trading in Nigeria and employing Nigerians....not Chinese. She must understand that every country has their own CULTURE and ways of showing Respect or Arrogance. Bowing to a "foreign object" (be it a Budhist god) IS NOT a sign of respect in the nigerian culture, it is Idol worship and it is frowned upon by all Nigerian religion and cultures. Secondly, this woman must be made to understand that she employed these Nigerians TO DO A JOB..... not to bow or to determine their reverence or attitude". Once they do their job as specified in their employment terms, she has no right to force them to bow to some lifeless Budha object or intimidate them with sacking. Her claim that they are arrogant (who determines that? Arrogant to who?) as being the reason she is asking them to "bow to an object" is stupid, laughable and slavish! If she thinks they are arrogant, she should let the "Budha object" speak with its own mouth and explain to Nigerians, how not bowing ot it translates to arrogance .... if the lifeless object can actually speak or determine who is arrogant. Nigerians cannot go to China and tell them to worship Muhammad or Jesus, in China so how come this woman, a later-day slave master, think she can force her employees, who have their own cultrure and religion, bow to her useless idol image? NLC and the Minister for Labour should come to the rescue of these workers and force the woman to pay the sacked workers adequate compensation for torutre and work-place harrassment. The company should also be warned sternly to restrict its activities to BUSINESS or get the phuck out of Nigeria, if it wants to practice "religion". A work place is for work, not for worship of the owners idols. Enough is enough. |

Why compromise your faith because of job "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus" Rom8:38-39 |

Why won't they be acting like that in our fathers land? When Bubu keep going to their country to borrow huge amounts of money without hope of paying back.. To them, they got every right to do and undo in our country with or without our presido knowledge.. Why? Because we are owing them! (Their country?) 1 Like |

“ This is bad ; we can ’ t be in our country and be treated like that. In Nigeria, nobody can force you to worship their gods. It is only in Nigeria that a foreigner will come to do something like that If you're an African and you're a Christian or a Muslim, you're already a slave. So you don't have to complain because Christianity and Islam were forced down the throats of our ancestors in similar way. We will eventually be re-enslaved anywhere. 2 Likes |

Daboomb: what sort of trash is it. Is Christianity and Islam our culture. If you classify the Buddha as foreign deity, Jesus Christ, Yahweh, Mohammed and Allah are also foreign deity. Don't classify any Jesus as part of our culture, he isn't. In some companies owned by Christians, they make it compulsory for all emplpyees (Christians or not) to engage in morning prayers, and if you refuse to join because you're not a Christian, they can sack you for insubordination. When queried, the employer claims that without his Jesus and the grace of Yahweh the company wouldnt be. So the woman has realized that without Buddha she is no-one, it's by the grace of Buddha that the company runs. Has your lifeless, imaginary Jesus or Yahweh spoken to anyone before. Rubbish. Tell the Christians that institute prayers as company policy that they employed people to do a job and not mumble words to some imaginary being. If government wants to take action on this woman, they should also take action on Christians, Muslims and co who force employees to observe their religious rituals or be dealt with. A work place is a place for work, not worship of the owners deities be it Buddha or Jesus or Yahweh. 2 Likes |
