Are you saying they should not prosecute her because elections are around the corner? What is always wrong with you guys?

That's how that drunkard from Otueke was using Iwuayanwu the thief to campaign. He even went ahead to release Al Mustapha.
This is all you can say and think? Did you think before talking?

When she was here in Nigeria EFCC could not do anything, it's now they want to waste taxpayers money to extradite her. At the end they'll still lose the case in court with their 'charge and bail' lawyers!

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says the process for the extradition of Deziani Alison-Madueke, former minister of petroleum, from the UK has begun.

Tony Orilade, acting spokesman of the commission, disclosed this in an interview with NAN on Sunday in Abuja.

Orilade said the EFCC’s operations department has made a presentation to the legal department to commence the process, and that it has commenced.

He, however, said the action had to be processed through the office of the attorney-general of the federation, explaining that it was not something the commission would commence and conclude on its own.

“It is ongoing. Within the next few weeks, the extent to which we have gone will be made known to the public,” the spokesman said.

“It is not a fresh case; it is not a fresh petition that is just being looked into; the whole process is a total package.

“This extradition is just an aspect of Deziani’s investigation and commencement of trial.”

In 2017, a federal high court in Lagos ordered the final forfeiture of N7.6 billion alleged that loot recovered from the former minister to the federal government.

Justice Abdulazeez Anka granted an application by the EFCC seeking the final forfeiture of the money to the government.

Granting the application, the judge had said: “I have read the motion on notice seeking the final forfeiture of the sum of N7.6 billion reasonably suspected to be proceeds of unlawful activity.

“I have also gone through the affidavit in support of the application.

“In the circumstances, I am of the view that the application has merit and is hereby granted as prayed. Parties have a right of appeal.”

In October 2017, Abubakar Malami, minister of justice and attorney-general of the federation, said Nigeria had no immediate plan to bring Allison-Madueke back home to face trial.

Allison-Madueke, who is being investigated in the UK, had urged the federal government to bring her back to the country to face corruption charges against her.

I feel the timing is not friendly. You know how we behave in this country. If we don't tilt tot the religion side, we will go tribal or go political. When you bring this lady now and her people start making one noise of leave our daughter alone you know the effects and efficacy of that act. I wouldn't want to say it here. Since UK don nail her down there, leave her there for now. Timing looks wrong for me. Not in support of her devilish and heartless behaviors in looting the country dry.

To me, it is an exercise in futility and will end up as waste of scarce resources. Supposing if Diezani is a British citizen? So you the britico will allow Nigeria to extradite her? No.....And do you think, British will allow to repartriate that large sum of money from their country? Big No.....may be we have forgotten Umaru Dikkos case.

Who is calling the shots?...she or the EFCC? How can bringing her back ever be a good move when it is clear she is in control? She knows she will definitely be imprisoned in the UK....cancer or no cancer...that she cannot bend, beat nor cheat the system...and they will be harsh on her. Whoever is behind the move to have her extradited need to be investigated. Let her remain in the UK...be charged and face trial there.
