A former commissioner in Benue State, Mrs. Rebecca Akpedzan, has said that with the way Benue people were slaughtered by Fulani herdsmen this year, any person in the state voting the All Progressive Congress is committing suicide.

Akpedzan, who is the first state secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state, said that the experience of the people of the state in the hands of herdsmen, with no support from the APC-led Federal Government, made the people believe that the ‘APC is a Miyetti Allah party.’

“Any sane Benue person that votes for the APC is committing suicide, given the pains we have gone through. Even if you were not directly affected by the crisis, at least your neighbour or somebody from your village was affected.”

The former commissioner who held office during Governor George Akume’s administration also slammed the Federal Government for introducing vote buying across the country.

She alleged that the money given to traders by Vice President Yemi Osibanjo was a tactical way of buying their votes.

I had earlier said those attacking the social intervention programme of this administration aren't genuine middle belt and south - south leaders but power hungry PDP looters who have been out of business (looting business ) as a result of "change" in the nation. As for me, my house and all relatives, we will vote for APC than vote for a "kindergarten" governor who will still tell tomorrow that he wasn't the one ruling even though the people voted him in.

But you voted APC before. So you are not doing anything new or different. Where I am worried for you is that you expect things to get better in Benue. It is a sign of insanity to repeat the same thing and expect a different result.

Not just the people of Benue state,but the whole 36 state inhabitants should stay away from APC political party.

Due to bad governance most youths have ventured into prostitution(girls) and yahoo yahoo(guys).

When PDP was in charge, Benue was facing herdsmen crisis, as well as salary and economic crisis. Their governors have done naught to develop the state economically to add to the matter. (Benue produces a lot of oranges...what have the governors done.

APC is now in charge...and the same old story. (Funnily enough, the APC governor has gone to PDP.).

The truth is, APC and PDP are not interested in helping the people of Benue...they are only interested in helping themselves. If they were interested in helping the peopleof Benue...they would have found a way out of this crisis decades ago. But they are not....and they won't.

And the sad thing is that in the next election, PDP is going to win. And we would be back to the same old song.....only this time, the new opposition party APC will take the blame...and the cycle continues.
