I’m Still Speaker Of Anambra State House Of Assembly...Maduagwu By Emeka Modilim (ABS Legislative Reporter) The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Barrister Rita Maduagwu has debunked the news that she has been impeached by the House. Speaking to journalists at a press briefing in her office on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, Barrister Maduagwu revealed that the purported impeachment did not follow due process as no notice of impeachment was served her. According to her, those who perpetrated the purported impeachment did not meet two third majority of the House as required by the constitution. She mainted that Anambra State House of Assembly has thirty lawmakers and fifteen members of the House did not endorse the purported impeachment.
