Ondo State governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, on Tuesday presented Cheques to owners of the properties affected by the construction of dual carriage ways in the state.

The beneficiaries are drawn from Akure where the "A" Division - Akure - Ijoka dualization project is ongoing, Ikare and Owo township dualization and the Ore flyover.

A total sum of N402, 567, 261 was paid to the beneficiaries as a demonstration of the Akeredolu's administration's commitment to the development of the State and her people.

The event which was held at the Ondo State ministry of works and infrastructure and witnessed by traditional rulers and religion leaders.

"Today marks the first phase of payment on the schedule. The quantum of money we are paying today is a demonstration of our good intention to the people whose properties were affected one way or the other

"I make bold to say that since the inception of our administration, a whooping sum of N9 billion has been spent on construction, maintenance and rehabilitation of roads statewide. " Akeredolu declared.

The Governor reiterated his administration's commitment to the successful completion of all ongoing projects, adding that the era of abandoned projects in the state has gone for good.

He said despite the quantum of development projects being embark upon by his administration, the welfare of public servants have been given its pride of place.
