Some of you that saw the match would have realized that the South Africans chose the stadium because the weather conditions would not be favourable to the Super Eagles. There was high humidity and high temperature and the South Africans have already acclimatised with the conditions even before Nigeria arrived a day before the match. The SA commentators said this several times during the match. It was a ploy by the South Africans which didn't work for them. This is why Nigerians didn't play well and but for poor officiating would have actually won the match. We should congratulate the Super Eagles for a job well done, not diss them.

Did you know south Africa have never conceded or lost any matchess prior to this match and tactically means the coach has to bring in something different even its just to destabilize his formation to gain a point in south africa, assuming he needed a must win. Such things you mentioned wouldn't have happened, sometime you play rubbish moving forward so your opponent won't understand, like kicking the ball forward and still refused to attack from defence and midfield , e bi like say you know dey play FIFA soccer or pes,. Nairaland e-coaches will not understand your comment. The coach read the situation well and did what he needed to do. What was important was to get at least a point and he got. This is a qualifier,It does not matter how he got the point.

Getting Samuel to play there (do more defensive role) was tactically a no brainer the coach and perfectly executed by the player as it limited SA attack to one side.

They could have scored 3 more goals. One miscontrolled by Ihenacho the other lines men. So because they did not play to impress (as that was not needed now) does not mean they did not play to win.
