Guest speakers on Anaedooline tv have discouraged intake of plenty of soft drinks, popularly called ‘mineral’ or ‘soda’ which, according to them, are very high in sugar content.

In a health discussion on Anaedoonline tv, a discussant, Patricia Nwosu, said one should avoid soft drinks to maintain good health.

According to her, a single can of soda contains a large quantity of sugar. This amount of sugar, especially in liquid form, she said, skyrockets the blood sugar and causes an insulin reaction in the body; adding that over time, it will lead to diabetes or insulin resistance.

She also said that soda contains phosphoric acid, which interfaces with the body’s ability to absorb calcium and can lead to osteoporosis.
