The case with suit No: FHC/ABJ/CS/827/2018 was filed by Pamela Adie against Corporate Affairs Commission after her application to register an organization with the name “Lesbian Equality and Empowerment Initiatives” was rejected on the ground that it is misleading, offensive, contrary to public policy and violates an existing law that prohibits same-sex marriage in Nigeria. The organization’s primary objective was to advocate for the rights of sexual minority women in Nigeria. To read more, follow here: https://nostringsng.com/nigerian-lesbian-court-organization/ |
