Racoon: Incoherent gibberish, were did he promise 24/7 light in a few years? Show evidence or runaway in shame. |

Firefire: Yes he should provide the stable power, the one hidden under his buba all these years. When kids write you can spot them, you can't be more than 16 years based on how you comment. If you are older it will be a big shame |

Why is it taking forever to do 12MW of solar power? They have been talking about this since 2016. Solar is relatively east to deploy 500MW solar can be set up in 18mknths if you are serious. Once the panels are in place, the set up is relatively quick. |

He made two blunders; Firstly he asserted that electricity cannot be stored Now that is a big fat lie; with the recent advances in battery technology, electricity is now effectively stored than ever! Another blunder( whether motivated by blind prophecy or misinformation) is saying we can 'store' and 'carry' megawatts in our pocket! Now I dunno how possible this is. It is like saying you can store trillion litters of water in a small bucket and carry it around!!! Even if you 'vaporise' the water and neglecting the energy needed in doing so, there is a limit to which you can compress gases in a given cylinder volume!!! A megawatt CANNOT be stored and carried in our pockets. NOT EVEN IN THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE! 1 Like |

If only u have read bout the history of the first computer and how massive it’s storage were, u won’t doubt the possibility of science if it’s says power can b carried about |

NORSIYK: I would actually agree with you. The most shameless idea. Why cant he tell the universities to break it apart and learn to make them and repair them so we can have more. So disapponting. Why do we pay lectures teaching engineering at these institutions, if they cant move us forward. |

So in this day of lithium batteries in commercial grades, pumping water up hills to use as kinetic energy later on, boiling water to use as steam... all this methods of storing energy are still foreign to a misplaced lawyer minister of power chai, where are all the Electrical Engineers in the house, please school this minister of darkness 1 Like |

Sunday Oduntan, executive director, research and advocacy, Association of Nigerian Electricity Distributors (ANED), says the federal government lied on its claims of improvement in power generation. ANED is the umbrella body of electricity distribution companies (DisCos). Oduntan, according to THISDAY , said generation capacity as at January 2015 was 6,421MW and not 4,000MW as often claimed by the government. The federal government had said power generation was at the peak of 7,000MW since President Muhammadu Buhari came into office in May 2015, but Oduntan insisted that the country was close to that figure as at January 2015. https://www.thecable.ng/discos-fg-misleading-nigerians-power-generation/amp |
