A Nigerian man identified as ‘Solo Pounds’, has regained freedom after he was arrested by police officers in Ghana. The young man who hails from Sapele area of Delta state – was arrested after being accused of being an internet fraudster and also an armed robber. He was arrested along with other suspects who were detained in police custody. 'Solo Pounds' who has now been released - revealed to journalist Sapele Oghenek that he was illegally arrested. He disclosed that some police officers who stormed their street in Ghana to apprehend some criminals, saw he and his friends and decided to arrest them too. He said that since the police didn't find them guilty of the crimes they were accused of, he and his friends were granted bail and they are yet to retrieve their phones and laptops which were confiscated during the unlawful arrest. The young man has left Ghana for his hometown in Sapele, Delta state, Nigeria.
