but OP is just being sensational. Almost all phones have means of turning off notifications from all apps or making it private, ie it will be invisible until you unlock the screen.

I turned off all Notification... Ordinary message preview can be implicating and can ruin things...

WhatsApp has really staying relevant for so long hijacking it from BBM. But this news if true, will bring its downfall and something else will overtake them too. This is good news actually., something more better than whatsapp, FB and twitter should have been in vogue by now. We are already complacent.

I think it's more like heads up but with a video clip bubble at the notification bar when toggled.

This one na issue?
U can always block sensitive notifications with ur phone, especially when it's lock, in fact u can't block all notifications with ur phone so this is not an issue.

Simple solution, disable WhatsApp notification in phone's app setting, you are all welcome

Whatsap and other media's are too big and popular for most people to leave it.
Only a few Nigerians might come till know about it or even use it.

Just saying so that you won't put all your effort into one thing and be disappointed. It's a very competitive environment even if you are doing something better.
