Bayelsa state was created on October 1, 1996 by the General Sani Abacha's military government. Since the creation of the state, the city yenagoa was one of the peaceful cities in Nigeria. Everyone want to live in the city,but from 2015 till date now yenagoa has turned to a city where cultists, armed robbers and bad boys are being trained. Living in yenagoa now is like living in perdition. Insecurity is now a major problem to be tackle in bayelsa state. These street boys and cult groups are menacing the lives of the people. People are worried mostly the strangers, because nobody is doing anything about these bad boys. If the government of Bayelsa state feels they can't protect the lives of people living in the state, then they should give guns to the people to protect themselves . The people are crying and dying and everywhere is quite. I am calling on the government to do something about this ugly situation before it escalate, otherwise beyelsa will turned to an Arab state if there is pertinacious augmentation of the act. It is so sad that a governor can't control cult activities in this burgeoning state. Because of the insecurity we are experiencing in this state now, the economic activities are drastically reducing. People now locked their shops around 5pm and you hardly get a taxi or tricycle. We must stopped the nefarious activities of these cult groups to allow Bayelsa to grow. It is better you bring back famotamgbe instead of this lazy and enfeeble dooakpo that is doing nothing. You have been hearing what is happening in tombia junction, swalli Market, and biogbolo where shooting and rubbing is almost every one hour. One in five tricle there is always a bad boy with a gun inside. You dare not hold a phone and walk freely on the road either you are shot or cut with a machete. Go to the hospitals there are many cases of gunshots and machete cuts as a result of criminal activities. police will shoot a notorious armed robbers and took him to the hospital for treatment, during the course of treatment the arm robber would be abandoned without handcuffs. After the treatment that one will go home without any trials. Is this a state? Even though you are training them for your election tell them not to rub people. You always talk about insecurity, but you are not doing anything to calm down the situation.
