Just saw a vacancy for a web programmer and the company are willin to pay 20k a month!!!!
So how much does web programmers get paid these days.

(When I say web programmer I mean Web programmers with skills in PHP/MySQL/ASP.Net or any other program and 2-3 years experience).

Is the 20k for transport or recharge card. this companies and their Slavery Pay.

come to think of it.is it that am developing one website per month?, and if YES.

Do you want to tell me that the site is only worth 20k?

Let's be considerate, 20k HABA. and companies like this will ask me to work on Saturdays, and even Sundays if possible.

That is why our software in nigeria are soooo buggggyyy. Very low pay = quality job.

i'm sure your mistaking its probably 20k per day of how long the project will take,if its a 4 day project =80,000 pay

and i still see that as small for a 4 day project

That's kinda small.
I've been paid 75k that was later increased to120k by an organisation, 150k, 200k and 300k by different companies and at different points in time.
I wouldn't even take 20k to install joomla on a site.

The amount you are offered depends on how you package yourself and how good you really are. I've attended interviews (about 3 different ones) where i have been offered to become a partner simply because the company cannot afford to pay my baseline and they didn't wanna loose me. If you are offered 20k, then check yourself again and again. You must be doing something the wrong way. Programming is very lucrative in Nigeria, it all depends on you.

where i work presently they pay 200K/month. And yes, your packaging matters too.

actually it's true it depends on how u package yourself i for starters earning 90k, cuz i work in a small company but sonner i should get a raise but 20k is a downer no programmer would code efficiently with that kinda amount, Dhtml you dey ball o, but you earned it with years of experience.

as a freelancer, I make around 100k upward every month (depending on job) Good part is that I ve 80k constant that is not negotiable + plus 24hrs fast internet connection already paid for. but am still gunning for more.

Even I wouldn't do it for the same amount, we had discuss something on it together and I now understand the effort and logic it takes to do it.

i did not exactly turn it down, it is kinda complicated. . .i cannot explain it all here
