Gunmen have killed a 33-year-old club bouncer  Choba, Obio/Akpor local government of Rivers state.

The incident occured in the early hours of Saturday while the victim simply identified as Oge returned home from work.

Gunmen were said to have shot the victim severally before zooming off in their car.

It is not immediately clear the reason for the shooting, although eyewitnesses say the shooting may not be unconnected to the recent spike in cult-related killings in the area.

The victim was a bouncer at a local nightclub, Chocolate, in Choba.

Recall that two persons were beheaded on Tuesday, the 12th day of November during a supremacy battle between Debam and Iceland cult groups.

Residents around the area expressed fear over the rising spate of killings and called on security operatives to end the killings.

The Rivers State Police command through its Public Relations Officer, Nnamdi Omoni is yet to comment on the development.

The last time i went to club the manner at which one halted me was so embarrassing, that I have to call the owner of the club who is a friend to drive sense into the head of his boys.
