Ahead of the commencement of campaigns for the governorship and House of Assembly elections in the country, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Organization in Enugu State, has called on the people of the state to join the party to observe one week of prayers and fasting, “for peaceful, transparent and violence-free elections in 2019, which Enugu State is known for”.

Briefing newsmen at the Campaign office in Enugu, the Director-General of the Organization, Dr. Charles Egumgbe, disclosed that the praying and fasting exercise will commence on Saturday, December 1 and end on Friday, December 7.

Dr. Egumgbe stated that the decision was “in keeping with our tradition of entrusting the affairs of the state to the hands of God”.

He also urged the people of the state “to pray for issue-based, smooth and successful campaigns in the state” and equally thanked them for their unceasing prayers, support, goodwill and solidarity.

“We therefore, reassure the good people of Enugu State that the PDP-led government will, through God’s grace, continue to maintain the tempo of peace and security in the state for them to enjoy more dividends as the true heroes of our democracy”, the Director-General said.

Lol if that’s the case, then why do we need police? They should go home and leave it all to God

If God is not speaking to you or has not spoken to you before, then he is not speaking to any other human..

prayers don’t stop bullets, prayers cannot bring back your life

Stay safe

For now, they have abandoned Nnamadi Kanu.

After their loss at the polls come next year, they will embrace him again and use Biafra or death as a slogan once again.

Exactly.

That exposes the folishness and incompetence of the Governor.

He is still praying for development in the state and waiting for God to build bridges, quality health care centers and Universities.

Otondo called Governor.

While countries like UAE and US are spending billions of dollars to make sure everyone is safe and protected, you are praying and fasting. This is stupidity of the highest. Do you think God cares if you are safe and protected ? Hell no ! God sent his son to die for us so we are saved for the eternal life. Jesus did not die for us so we can be protected in this world. And even saying you should pray for 7 freakking days is so ridiculous. Jesus taught us to pray and Lord prayer he taught us is just 40 seconds. Why anyone think by praying for 7 days, everything would be fine, is beyond me. This is the reason Nigeria has become so backward and poverty-stricken. Nigerians like you are so fuckkking dumb. sad sad
