Don't Learn a language because you want to join the programming industry. Look for what interests you and develop yourself for it. If you wanna be a software developer, for any particular software you want to create, there is a language that best suit it. Learn to create, don't learn to program: Instead of learning a language, learning to build gives you an edge and makes learning fun since there are short-term goals. Also, it makes learning faster and you build your portfolio in the process.
