The second leg of the Copa Libertadores Final between River Plate and Boca Juniors will be played at Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu stadium on December 9.

The match currently hangs in balance after a stunning 2-2 draw in the first leg.

However, the second leg which was supposed to take place on Saturday had to be postponed after River Plate fans attacked the Boca Juniors team bus.

The ugly incident saw some players injured as Police interved with the use of Tear Gas and arrested some people.

However, RFEF (Royal Spanish Football Federation) president Luis Manuel Rubiales released a statement which read: “Without any doubt, we are prepared for a game of this dimension and significance.

“It's excellent news that we have been given a vote of confidence to stage this historic game and we will do everything in our power to offer both CONMEBOL and a fellow nation like Argentina the best possible conditions to enjoy one of the best games in world football.”

Earlier today, it was announced the Copa Libertadores final would be played outside Argentina.

It has also been confirmed the Monumental Stadium will be closed for two games.

River Plate have also been handed a £313,000 fine.

The final at Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu will kick-off at 7:30pm UK time.
