WHAT IF NIGERAN POLITICAL HEAVYWEIGHTS WERE TOP FOOTBALL COACHES?
Ogun Oluwarotimi Jesse
Politics and Coaching seems more alike than we give credit to them. It involves brain racking strategic manoeuvring and like Coaches have backroom staffs to plot strategy, Politicians themselves aren't lacking with their sometimes insane retinue of Special advisers.
Quickly, we take a brief survey of similarities between Top Nigerian politicians and Top football coaches.

Atiku Abubakar
Rich, Disloyal, Ambitious, and Controversial. The Waziri ticks so many boxes that it took a whole lot of time finding someone just with a coaching profile like him. Jose Mourinho is wealthy, Ambitious, and Controversial but it's difficult to assume if such an adjective as "disloyal" should stick with him. Stints at Barcelona, Porto, Chelsea, Inter, Madrid, Chelsea again, Man utd doesn't show loyalty so JOSE MOURINHO it is.
Bola Tinubu
The jagaban of Nigerian politics. Loyalty defines him through and through. He has always been a progressive and might definitely die as one. He is a DIEGO SIMEONE class of coach, extremely loyal and successful too in every sense. He might had been a Pep because he is a tactical genius but the Spaniard has warmed too many benches.
Muhammad Buhari
This might sound disrespectful but Nigeria's CEO is much similar to CLAUDIO RANIERI than any other coach. His CV is not outstanding but modest. He managed to clinch a bit of success in winning the Presidency after placing second on three occassions just like the Italian.
Bukola Saraki
Some call him "scheming devil". To others, "self centred" yet we know Bukola is good. Calling him Pep would never sit well with so many people. But what do you call someone who has beaten the best? JURGEN KLOPP. Ask Pep himself and Mourinho
Babatunde Raji Fashola
Easily the most fortunate Nigerian politician ever. The story has been told over and over again of how the Diego Simeone of our list brought him out of oblivion to becoming Chief of staff. His journey has led him to being one of the greatest governors this country will ever see. Now, he is a Super minister. What better fit than the maestro himself, ZINEDINE ZIDANE who many claim is the luckiest coach ever.
Rochas Okorocha
It's hard to pinpoint this man into a Coaching name. He has tasted so many failures and little successes. Many people say he is about to achieve his greatest and most disastrous failure ever in the 2019 general election. He also has a tendency of bringing in his family member to critical posts and making governance seem a family affair at all costs. RONALD KOEMAN it is.
Rotimi Amaechi
This is one hugely underrated politician who knows how to win battles. He is crazy but so good at what he does best. Despite the hues and cries, he is a Buhari favorite to the marrow. Cheers to the most underrated coach we have: Juve's MAXIMILLIANO ALLEGRI
Olusegun Obasnjo
We carefully avoided involving retired coaches in our list but its hard to overlook the Ebora of Owu. It's fair to say the PDP demise came when he tore his membership card and emboldened the five governors who left the PDP in the crazy run up to the 2015 election. Is it hard to think of a manager who left a club which is presently sinking? Sir ALEX FERGUSON
Jimi Agbaje
They say his good. "Everyone loves Jimi" his supporters always chorus. Yet the Pharmacist turned Politician has never won anything. The brilliant MAURICIO POCCHETINO comes to mind.

Buhari can only be likened to Frank De Boer...the erstwhile Crystal Palace coach whoose team couldn't score a single goal during his short reign as coach, he neither won nor drew a single game as the manager of Crystal Palace, he is widely regarded as the worst coach in the history of the premier league
